St Wilfrid’s Church, Grappenhall has commissioned a creative project in response to the Covid 19 pandemic. This project has now launched and is called The Mustard Seed.
They want to encourage people of any faith or spirituality to respond to the theme of ‘faith from home’, through poetry, short stories, flash fiction (and many other categories of writing) said Rector of St Wilfrid’s Jane Proudfoot, “they then have the opportunity to submit their work to the project, where it will be carefully read by the editor and considered for inclusion in a curated selection of creative writing for publication on The Mustard Seed’s website.
Rev'd Jane Proudfoot, Rector at St Wilfrid's Church says, "You don’t to be an experienced writer to submit to The Mustard Seed, we are simply looking for creative explorations of the theme from a range of perspectives! We are excited to read new writing from a diverse range of voices, for people writing about faith (even faith as small as a mustard seed), but we accept a broad interpretation of the term and will consider writing from authors of any faith or spiritual background equally and encourage submissions from writers of any faith or spiritual practice, any race and ethnicity, any sexuality or gender, and of any age over 18."
