The Children’s Society has just produced and published its annual report for 2019. It highlights, by postcode, statistics around the issues of exploitation, child poverty, mental health, child trafficking, abuse and neglect.
As an example, the statistics for Cheshire West and Chester show that 27% of children in this area live in poverty and 12 children have been referred by Cheshire Constabulary to the National Referral Mechanism as potential victims of trafficking or exploitation.
To try and combat this, The Children’s Society has produced some resources that offer ways in which you can help the young people in your lives alongside policy and lobbying resources.
Please visit The Children's Society website here and enter your postcode for a report relevant to you.
