The Living in Love and Faith process is coming to the end of the consultation stage on 30 April 2022.
Since November 2020 churches and individuals across the Church of England have been invited to learn together about issues of identity, sexuality, relationships, and marriage and how they relate to Christian faith in today’s society.
Over a thousand people in the Diocese of Chester have taken part, and many have given their feedback to the national survey. If you have taken part in the LLF course or engaged with any of the resources at all, you are welcome to complete the survey, which can be found here. Thank you to all those in our diocese who have taken part so far.
The surveys and all responses will be collated anonymously and a report will be written which is planned to be available to the public in September. Following this, there will be a period of discernment and prayer as the House of Bishops seek God’s guidance for how the Church of England responds to the process. We are invited during this time of waiting and discernment to pray for the Bishops, for the Church of England, the wider Anglican Communion, and those who have taken part in the process.
If you haven’t yet taken part, you have until 30 April to engage with the resources on the LLF learning hub and fill in the survey. If you would prefer to give a creative response, that is possible too – just click on the relevant tab under ‘Respond’ on the LLF website.
