On Holy Saturday 2020, the Archdeacon of Chester, Mike Gilbertson, reflects on the "desperate" words of Psalm 142.
He says lament is part of the human condition, and encourages us not to rush from Good Friday to Easter Day, but stop on Holy Saturday and "remember that the Bible speaks of every kind of human experience, not just the times of rejoicing, but the times of lament when we're scared and alone. Because God knows we go through those times and he's with us when we do."
