The Church of England's Energy Footprint Tool is now open for churches to enter energy use from 2024. The data collected from the tool will help your church understand its carbon footprint and will mean you may be eligible for grants to help kickstart your net zero projects.
It is even more important each year as it is the first step on our carbon reduction journey as an Eco Diocese.
Any Parish looking at grant funding for energy efficient lighting or changes to heating will be expected to have completed the EFT. National grants may not be available if the EFT has not been completed. For the highest emitters of carbon there is the potential for a free energy audit which normally costs around £500 and then a £3K grant towards any identified works.
Please contact the Buidlings and Environment team if you require help. All you need is your energy bills for 2024 to be able to complete the survey. MORE

Currently Chester Diocese is 7% completed. We would really like to get to 95% this year.
