The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia, Leonard Dawea, has sent greetings to Bishop Mark and Lindsay and the whole diocese ahead of Mark's enthronement at Chester Cathedral on Saturday 26 June.

In his message, the Archbishop says: "Bishop Mark, on the occasion of your enthronement, may I assure you of our prayers for your episcopal ministry in Chester and the wider Church.
"I am sure your episcopal ministry will be full of blessings, of spiritual blessings and enrichment to Chester.
"As you know, Chester Diocese and the Anglican Church of Melanesia has a very special and long-lasting relationship. This friednship has enriched both ends with spiritual blessings through prayers and exchange of visitations."
The Archbishop also extended his congratulations to Julie Conalty and Sam Corley who are to become our new bishops of Birkenhead and Stockport. They will be consecrated bishops on the 19 July at York Minster.
Archbishop Leonard says: "I understand that your Prime Minister has recently announced the appointment of two suffragan bishops-designate: Julie Conalty for Birkenhead and Sam Corley for Stockport.
"May I take this time to congratulate them and assure them of our prayers in their preparations for consecration and episcopal ministry."
