Applications open for Foundations for Ministry

Foundations for Ministry is again open to anyone who would like to explore what their ministry might be.

Director of Ministry, the Revd Simon Chesters, says the course is a good basis for lots of different people and prior academic knowledge is not necessary.

The course is for those who are looking to further their knowledge and understanding in support of a calling outside of the Church as well as individuals considering an ordained or licensed ministry in the Church.

Simon says: "It forms the first year of training for Reader ministry and Pastoral Worker ministry, and quite a lot of people who are now ordained ministers in this and other dioceses have done Foundations for Ministry, but more people actually go on to a much wider range of different types of ministry and that might well be in the Church but also it's about equipping people for their calling in daily life."

The course begins in September.
