Ruth Laemmel has joined the team at Church House where she has begun her dual role as Executive Assistant to the Diocesan Secretary and Pastoral Reorganisation Adviser.
Ruth was born in Germany and studied in Belgium and the Netherlands. She says that Jesus found her during a 2-month-stay in Vancouver in 2001 and he has been an integral part of her life ever since. She came to the UK in 2010 because she felt a calling from God to do so. Feel free to ask Ruth to elaborate on this when you see her.
Before starting to work for the Diocese of Chester, Ruth worked for Church Wigan and Safe Families. She says she loves quotes and cites this as one of her favourites: “Sometimes God will slow you down so that the trouble ahead of you will pass before you get there.
