Full time incumbent St Wilfrid's, Grappenhall

Incumbent

St Wilfrid’s Grappenhall

Full Time

We are seeking an incumbent for this thriving and vibrant suburban parish of central tradition, on the southern edge of Warrington. It is a largely residential area, including a church school with which there are excellent relationships. A well-appointed rectory is provided.

The parish is seeking an incumbent who will:

  • Embrace an inclusive approach, which welcomes and serves everybody, without discrimination.
  • Deepen our discipleship by bringing scripture alive through effective teaching and a demonstrable faith in Christ
  • Help our people in living out their Christian faith in everyday life, Monday to Saturday and not just on a Sunday, developing their faith at all stages along life’s journey.
  • Get alongside people to understand their concerns and build trust, nurturing the gifts of others, encouraging our volunteers, and developing teamwork.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, willing to learn and adapt as society and technology changes.
  • Be committed to using the church building for wider outreach – not just for our regular services
  • Foster good safeguarding culture within the parish.
  • Have a heart for community engagement, including with local schools.
