An exciting opportunity to develop mission in the city of Chester
We are seeking an incumbent for this vibrant parish of a rich, modern catholic tradition, in Chester. The parish includes part of the bustling and ancient city centre. At its heart is the stunning and historic church of St John the Baptist. A well-appointed rectory is provided. The living is under the patronage of the Duke of Westminster.

- Christian Faith: encouraging the congregation to live out their Christian faith in daily life, Monday to Saturday, and not only on a Sunday.
- Vision for Growth: leading with a clear vision for expanding our congregation.
- Commitment to Tradition and Openness to Innovation: while valuing our broad Catholic tradition, exploring new and flexible approaches to worship and ministry that resonate with today’s world.
- Community Engagement: bringing passion to strengthening our deep connections to the wider community and supporting our heritage and outreach initiatives.
- Support for Music and the Arts: sharing in our enthusiasm for the musical life of the church, a key aspect of our identity at St. John’s.
- Organisational Skills: bringing effective leadership to manage daily parish responsibilities, work collaboratively with our ministry team, PCC, and volunteers, and ensure wise use of resources to secure a sustainable future for St. John’s.
