Full-time incumbent, St Peter's, Elworth

The Parish of St Peter, Elworth

This parish seeks a new full-time incumbent who will lead the parish in mission and growth. Elworth is a village in the county of Cheshire, and is a suburb of the market town of Sandbach, located approximately one mile eastward.
The church is well maintained and very much at the heart of the local community. We have a modern, purpose built and well-used church hall and strong relationships with the local school, Elworth CE Primary School. We’re praying for someone who will:
•  Be spirit-led and servant-hearted, seeking God’s will and ambition for us as a church and in the world, listening well and offering pastoral care and support.
•  Seek new opportunities to minister to the ever-growing community of Elworth.
 •  Continue with Biblical teaching within a conservative tradition, presenting age-old truths to a new generation.
 •  Enable us to grow in faith and action, deepening our discipleship.
 •  Balance the traditional and liturgical with the contemporary and spontaneous.
 •  Continue to build on and strengthen our links with schools, families, children and young people.
 •  Encourage and foster an excellent safeguarding culture within the parish.
 •  Partner with, support and encourage the staff team and lay members to develop and use their gifts in various ministries.

Closing date for applications:      Sunday      5th January 2025
Interviews:                                   Friday        24th January 2025
