Vicar of St Mary’s, Upton

St Mary’s is a large and lively evangelical church in central North Wirral. We are excited to be looking for a new Vicar who can build upon the rich heritage of ministry and outreach at St Mary’s and The Centre and who has the gifts, passion and experience to lead the churches into fresh vision, growth and community engagement.

We are looking for a Vicar who:

• loves Jesus and is prayerful, wise and discerning
• is humble, compassionate, caring and loves people
• can lead a large and gifted team of staff and volunteers
• is committed to encouraging and empowering the gifts of every member
• has experience of leading a large church into ongoing growth
• has a heart for growing discipleship amongst the young and in families
• is a gifted preacher and teacher of biblical truth
• is committed to putting faith into action in pursuit of peace and justice
• is an evangelical shaped by the scriptures and open to the Spirit
