“Thy Kingdom Come”, (or Your Kingdom Come), is a line from the prayer which Jesus taught his followers. Every single day millions of people around the world say this prayer, praying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.
The Archbishops have invited every Christian around the world to join them in prayer. You can pray as a church, as part of a group, with your family, and individually.
Thy Kingdom Come 2025
Thy Kingdom Come 2025 runs from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 8th June 2025.
The Diocese of Chester will be taking part. All deaneries, parishes and churches of the Diocese of Chester are invited to participate from Thursday 29th to Sunday 8th June 2025. (Ascension to Pentecost).

Ways Churches can get involved in Thy Kingdom Come
1. Sign up to the enewsletter
To keep up-to-date on when more resources are available on the TKC website, go to the website and scroll to the bottom of the page to the ‘Sign Up’ button. Enter your contact details to be added to the mailing list.
2. Light Up your Town or Village in Prayer
Jesus Christ is the light of the world and we are called to be the light of the world as we bear His image. Could you encourage Christians in your area to commit to lighting up the world in prayer during these 11 days? Visit the ‘Light Up the World’ prayer section on the website to find resources to equip you/your church to take part.
3. Use the resources
A selection of resources will be available, catering for people aged 5 to 105 years old, as well as useful resources from previous years. It's usually a mix of digital resources, (like videos, digital map and a TKC app), and printed resources, (like prayer booklets or prayer maps), that can be ordered directly from www.cpo.org.uk. The previous year's TKC resources are still available on the website if you'd like to take a look.
How to continue encouraging prayer after Thy Kingdom Come
1. Why not use some of the Thy Kingdom Come Church resources to continue to encourage prayer in your church throughout the year. The Bright Ideas booklet, for example, contains creative suggestions for prayer, suitable for use at any time.
2. Thy Kingdom Come has links with the 24-7 Prayer movement. Why not use the 24-7 Prayer resources, for example, to help set up prayer rooms? Also, your church may be interested in running their new video/discussion prayer courses, which can be ran in person or online - The Prayer Course and Prayer Course 2.
