Training

Training is an important part of our work with parishes across the Diocese. We offer a variety of training, as well as signposting to other training courses.

Amplify

The Amplify Course is an opportunity to go deeper into the world of youth or children’s work/ministry. It is an in-depth training opportunity for those working with children or young people looking to develop their knowledge and practice.
The course is taught over two residential weekends, and one day.

The three areas studied are:

  • Reflective Practice
  • Context, Relationships and Leadership
  • Spirituality, Faith Development and Worship

The course has a unique assessment style, allowing participants to take part at a level appropriate to them. Amplify will grow your skills through refective practice, thought provoking input, and stimulating conversation.

The dates for the 2019/2020 course are as follows:

7pm Friday 4th October 2019 - 2pm Sunday 6th October 2019 at the Anderton Centre, Chorley, PR6 9HG*

*Accommodation at this venue will be shared rooms. Please let us know if this is a problem and we will aim to make other arrangements.

7pm Friday 13th March 2020 - 2pm Sunday 15th March 2020 at Foxhill House and Woodlands, Frodsham, WA6 6XB

Leaders of Young Generations

We support leaders of young generations (children and family and youth workers, whether paid or voluntary) through a network which meets at least once a term to worship, gain input and provide mutual support. Everyone who works with children and young people is welcome. To make sure you know when the next Leaders of Young Generations Network event is and for signposting to resources, sign up to receive the ebulletin.
