How to book onto a training course

Basic Awareness and Foundation Safeguarding and other e-learning modules
To complete the Basic and Foundation level safeguarding training and other e-learning modules, please access the e-learning modules via the Church of England Safeguarding Training Portal.

Parish Safeguarding Officer Induction
Parish Safeguarding Induction courses are run by the Chester Diocese Safeguarding Team, and can be book via Eventbrite
Safer Recruitment and People Management
You can complete the ‘Safer recruitment and People Management’ e-learning module via the Church of England Safeguarding Training Portal.
Alternatively you can book onto a face to face training course run by the Chester Diocese Safeguarding Team. These are available to book on Eventbrite
When booking an Eventbrite course, please ensure that:
- You select the appropriate course for you.
- You are aware of the requirements for pre and post course work and plan for this within your diary as well as attendance on the course itself.
- You provide information via Eventbrite of any additional needs/accessibility issues that the trainer should be aware of, to ensure that you can fully participate in the course.
- If are booking onto a zoom course, prior to the course, ensure that you have updated the zoom app on your device and tested your sound, microphone and video
