The five marks of mission describe Christians and churches as those who respond to human need by loving service. Human need is rooted in spiritual dislocation but experienced in a huge variety of ways, and individual churches are responding in many ways to the needs that they see around them. The Diocese is at this time supporting churches in addressing three issues of particularly pressing concern: poverty and material need; disability and inclusion in the life of church and society; refugees and asylum seekers. It aims to help churches to grow in awareness of the nature of the need in their area, and to take practical action to make a difference.
