Four young people attended the latest Youth Speak meeting at Foxhill in December.
They were joined by Bishop Julie who spent time listening to the young people’s thoughts on the topic of inclusion.
Bishop Julie was grateful to the young people for sharing their views honestly and about their understanding of how inclusion affects churches, as well as their experiences of how their peers perceive the Church.
As the gathering was in December, there was also time for Christmas charades and a Christmas music quiz. Then, for lunch, the young people were treated to a Christmas dinner which was thoroughly enjoyed.

They decided that inclusion would be a topic they’d like to discuss. Hearing their well-thought-through opinions and perceptions was a great privilege. Bishop Julie listened brilliantly, and the young people are looking forward to seeing how their thoughts and feelings will be shared and acted upon in the coming months.”
Youth Speak will be presenting to diocesan decision-making bodies in 2022.
