Working with Farsi Speakers

Working with Farsi-speakers can be such a exciting and rewarding ministry, but also one that raises lots of questions and issues for churches to address. Often, one of the hardest things is thinking you are on your own with this ministry – but you aren’t!

There are parishes across the diocese who are in the same situation, and wrestling with similar issues, as well as other agencies who can help. We would like to connect people together so that we can wrestle together to be the best at this ministry that we can be, serving those who come to us in the best way possible.

As a first step, we would like to invite you to an online meeting on 12th February at 12 noon to make contact with you, and begin to hear what some of the issues are for you, and what support might be best to help you in this vital ministry.

The meeting will be jointly chaired by Rev. John Hellewell, Mission Adviser, who has extensive experience in this area from his time in Halifax, and by Nadene Wright, our Racial Justice Officer.

If you can’t make this meeting but would like to be kept in the loop with what’s happening, then please email john.hellewell@chester.anglican.org or nadene.wright@chester.anglican.org
