Wanted: Passionate individuals for DBE Board

The Board of Education (DBE) in the Diocese of Chester is seeking new members to sit on its Board and standing committees.

The Director of Education in the Diocese of Chester, Chris Penn, says: “We are seeking people with a professional background. Experience of the education sector will obviously be welcome but is not essential. What’s more important is that people on the Board can think strategically and are committed to supporting and encouraging our 116 church schools and academies.

“As a member of the DBE, you will play an important role in shaping education across the Diocese by promoting education that is consistent with the faith and practice of the Church of England. If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you.”

The Board and its committees work to shape strategic purpose, policy objectives and direction of the Church of England schools and academies within the Diocese of Chester.
