Visit to St Ann's Hospice

St Ann’s Chaplain Peter O’Brien was delighted to welcome the Bishop of Birkenhead Julie Conalty and Revd. Jacob Devadasson, Vicar of St Catherine's Church in Heald Green to the hospice during a recent deanery visit to Cheadle.

The visit was a chance to show the Bishop around the hospice and discuss the work of the chaplaincy.

There was also time to take a look at progress on the construction site and find out more about plans for the new hospice and how it will benefit our patients and their loved ones in the future.

Bishop Julie said: “It has been wonderful to see the progress of the new hospice construction site and I very much look forward to when it is open to patients.

“The prospect of patients and families being able to access the outdoors from the bedrooms sounds fantastic both for their privacy but also for that connection to the outdoors and how that helps with wellbeing.

“It has been great to come and meet with Peter to hear all about these wonderful plans for the future and to see how we can support St Ann’s.”

Peter O’Brien, Chaplain at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “It has been a pleasure to welcome Bishop Julie and Revd. Devadasson to the hospice today. We are always keen to work with our colleagues in the community and how we can partner to support our patients. I look forward to welcoming them again as our new hospice progresses.”
