Husband and wife, Revd Lucy and Revd David Brewster took up their respective roles of Director and Chaplain of Foxhill in autumn 2022. As they celebrate their second anniversary and the launch of a new website, they have been reflecting on their journey and what they have learned, sharing their vision for the future.
Foxhill House dates back to the 1860s and is set within 70 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside and woodlands. It has been run by the Diocese of Chester as a retreat centre since 1968. It offers prayerful hospitality and an inclusive environment welcoming churches, organisations, and individuals from all backgrounds.
Lucy said she remembers being: "Completely overwhelmed by the sum total of things we knew we didn't know." Despite their initial naivety, they have continued to develop Foxhill as a space that offers a place to meet with God and find peace and support.
Recently, they have launched their new website, which includes details of upcoming events and guided retreats
