Celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the Royal Naval Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) were marked at Chester Cathedral with the signing of a commemorative scroll by Bishop Mark. The scroll has been travelling throughout the UK since March 2024 when the journey began with a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. It will end its journey later this month in Douglas, Isle of Man at the former home of Sir William Hillary. The RNLI website has more information about the journey including a map of the tour.
