Licensing of Lay Ministers

On Saturday 12th October at Chester Cathedral, Bishop Mark licensed 6 new Readers, 4 new Pastoral Workers and one new Licensed Lay Worker, as well as giving new licences to 4 Readers transferring to new parishes.

We also celebrated the ministry of 9 Readers and 2 Pastoral Workers receiving Permission to Officiate and gave thanks for the ministry of 2 Readers and 1 Pastoral Worker moving to Emeritus status. Their names and parishes are below.

Jeanette Howe, one of our Bishop’s Advisers for Licensed Lay Ministers said “A wonderful day that celebrated the dedication, commitment, and passion of Licensed Lay Ministers. We pray especially for those who took part in the Licensing Service that their ministries will bless their families and their communities.”
