Jesus Shaped People - A quick catch-up

Earlier this year, Rebecca Holland was appointed as our JSP Champion for the Diocese of Chester. She recently visited Church House to meet with the Director of Outreach, Revd Peter Froggatt, which gave us an ideal opportunity to learn about her role and the progress she's been making.

The Jesus Shaped People journey is for churches who want to model their vision and the shape of their mission around Jesus’ ministry. This helps enable God’s people to feel equipped as they worship together as a gathered church, and then step out as confident disciples as a sent church to the frontlines where God has placed each of us.

JSP helps to shift the culture of churches. JSP is one of the national resources being encouraged as part of the Church of England's Every Day Faith initiative.

Jesus Shaped People is a Whole Church Discipleship Programme formed around 2006 in a church serving a large urban estate community in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Growing interest, steady adoption and the effectiveness of JSP led to the formation of a Charitable Trust (CIO) in 2017 to oversee future development.
JSP maintains a high priority for re-energising churches in socially disadvantaged areas, helping them realise their vital place, dignity, and role in Jesus’ heart and Kingdom.

The Diocese of Chester programme has opportunities for two churches to be part of the JSP programme. If you'd like to find out how your church can be involved, contact:
