After a two and a-half-year hiatus, All Angels Church in Middlewich are due to reopen their heritage trail.
The trail, is a project designed to reveal the fascinating history of St Michael’s, its contents and its people, and the links they all had to the town of Middlewich through the centuries.
Funded entirely by the Heritage Lottery Fund, it has been brought to you by a team of church members who spent over a year studying and gathering information from a variety of sources, including ancient texts, and then compiling it into a comprehensive tour.
The trail is within the church and includes 24 points of interest covering over 800 years of church history and includes two pieces of furniture listed in the National Archive. The trail even has its own website, a hardback photo book and an e-book.
It opens on Saturday 17 September, from 11.00am to 3.00pm and then on the second Saturday of every month. All are welcome.
