Final preparations are underway for the Clergy Gathering 2022.
Clergy will gather at the Hayes Conference Centre, Derbyshire on Monday for a four-day conference which will focus on Bible study and teaching around Mark 1:14-18.
Key speakers include the Archbishop of York; the new Dean of Ministry at St Mellitus College, the Revd Dr Sharon Prentis; the Bishop of Burnley; and Dave Male, the head of the Church of England's Evangelism and Discipleship Team.
A live stream of the key conference speakers will be available via the diocesan website for all to view, including lay people across the diocese.
Writing in the Clergy Gathering Booklet, which has been circulated to all attendees, Bishop Mark Tanner said: "I cannot tell you how much I have been looking forward to this time together, and I am delighted that you are here. I pray that this will be a deeply refreshing time of fellowship, learning, worship and prayer as we look together at recasting the net."
It is the first time since becoming the Bishop of Chester that Bishop Mark has been able to bring all clergy together.
