On Saturday 1 March, over 50 curates and training incumbents gathered together for a day with Rev Dr Casey Strine, who is Theological Adviser to the House of Bishops. It was a stimulating day, looking at migration and people movement in the Old and New Testaments and linking that to contemporary issues locally and globally. Those who gathered there really valued the chance to wrestle with the scriptures and the theological and practical issues raised, as well as the chance to be together and share experience.
The follow day at Foxhill, was a Resourcing Day for Licensed Lay Ministers. In the morning, Nadene Wright, Racial Justice Officer, delivered Unconscious Bias Training and in the afternoon three Licensed Lay Ministers delivered workshops on including people with Dementia in our churches, Art Journalling and creating a Finger Labyrinth for prayer.
We will be holding another Resourcing Day for Licensed Lay Ministers on Saturday 29th March at St Michael's and All Angels, Bramhall, 9:30am until 3:30pm. Licensed Lay Ministers can book on Eventbrite here for that event
