St. Mary's Ecumenical Church seeks an incumbent

Will you join us in our mission to share the light and hope of Jesus within our community?

We are an open, Evangelical Church in an Ecumenical Partnership, based in a semi-rural village within mid-Cheshire. We have a Sunday attendance of 100+ with a network of home groups to support our learning and growth. We also have a newly refurbished Lighthouse Community Centre which provides great facilities for our Toddler Group, Café, community lunches, and a host of other events. The church is supported by a Methodist Minister, retired clergy, lay readers and a team of willing volunteers.

We believe that God wants his Church to grow here in Weaverham and we are looking for a Vicar willing to take us forward in line with our Mission Statement and who is:

A practical visionary, able to work collaboratively and committed to the Ecumenical aspect of the Parish: you will identify areas for development, motivate and empower us to achieve our mission objectives

A good communicator with a range of IT skills, who can engage effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds. And with a good sense of humour.

A facilitator and delegator with the experience and leadership skills to manage a bunch of willing volunteers and who can identify and enable ministries of others at all levels.

A teacher who can help us to disciple others from seeds of faith to Christian maturity. Someone who can help us to nurture and deepen our faith through the teaching of the Bible, so that we can share our faith more confidently, be open to the Holy Spirit and become more prayerful.

Above all we need a person who is passionate about Jesus. A person of action, who will take Weaverham to their heart and guide and strengthen us as we work together to bring the good news of the gospel to the village.
