Heald Green

Applications are sought for the parish of Heald Green, an urban village within easy reach of Manchester and its airport.  The current population is over 12,000 and set to rise somewhat.

The churchmanship of the parish is in an open evangelical to central spectrum, and the parish would welcome a priest of relatively traditional but flexible beliefs.  The parish is open to change, and keen to move forward with the right priest.  The parish profile refers to vestments being worn, but the parish does not insist on this, and clergy often wear a surplice and stole, or, for family services, no formal robes.

The church and adjoining hall are in good condition, and are much used by the wider community.  The modern vicarage is excellent, and situated in a nearby residential road.  There is a curate’s house, which is currently let.  The area offers attractive all-round amenities.

The parish profile and parish fact sheet, to be found below, offer full details of the parish and its hopes for the future.
