Applications are invited for the post of Vicar of Disley with Furness Vale, which is attractively situated on the A6 between Stockport and Buxton.

The parish is best described as open evangelical.  The communities of Disley and Furness Vale have a strong sense of local identity, and the parish wishes to strengthen its ties with them.

There is strong lay leadership, and a commitment to youth and children’s work, with a full-time lay worker in post.

The PCC finances are in good order.

Local amenities, including schools, are good, and the parish has strong transport links.  There is an excellent modern vicarage.

The parish profile and fact sheet, together with the PCC Accounts, provide further details, including the aspirations which the parish has for the new Vicar.

Applications may be submitted (electronically or in paper form) using this Application Form or via Pathways, the national CofE recruiting agency https://pathways.churchofengland.org by Wednesday 27 June.

Interviews will be held in Disley on Wednesday 18 July.
