Brereton

Applications are sought for this part-time, house-for-duty incumbency (with a non-pensionable stipend of 15% fte, currently £3754 pa).

The parish is situated in rural south Cheshire, straddling the A50.  It comprises a number of hamlets, with the village of Brereton Green centrally located in the parish.  The much-loved historic parish church and well-appointed Rectory are situated in Brereton Green.

The population is just over 1000, but growing somewhat, with an electoral roll of 170.  There is an active community life, and the Rector plays an important part in this.

The churchmanship is broad and central, and the new incumbent will need to be comfortable in leading a range of worship.

There is an aided Church Primary School, where the Rector is an ex officio Governor.

Further details of the parish and its aspirations are set out in the Parish Fact Sheet, Financial Statements and Parish Profile.
