DAC Meeting Dates

The monthly DAC meeting dates and submission deadlines are set out below

Many proposals require prior and detailed review ahead of each meeting. This requires the DAC Office to operate a strict policy on submission dates from parishes - normally a fortnight prior to each meeting.

Additionally, a small DAC Standing Committee also convenes - normally once a month - between each meeting of the Main DAC in order to deal with routine or urgent items.  Its role is limited and distinct.  It does not normally deal with any items relating to buildings listed Grade 1 or 2* though it may make decisions relating to emergencies on health & safety grounds.  The Standing Committee will be run only if there is enough business to justify it in that particular month.

The DAC Office - The office of the Diocesan Advisory Commitee (DAC) has responsibility for progressing faculty applications and providing policy advice on church building matters.  The answer to most popular enquiries will be available via these web pages but do contact the DAC Office if not.  Where appropriate, the DAC Office can put you in touch with churches who have undertaken similar work to any scheme you might be proposing yourself.
