Training opportunities for parishes

We are keen to learn, share, reflect and, in turn, grow together in how we can better realise the potential of church buildings and halls in furthering mission and ministry. Here are some opportunities you may like to consider:

1. Training events

See the 'Events' page to view all training courses and events, including:

  • Thurs 15th February 2018- How to write a succesful grant application
  • Fri 23rd and Sat 24th February 2018- HLF Briefing
  • Tues 22nd May 2018- Open Doors: opening your church building for visitors
  • Mon 1st Oct 2018- Dynamic Fundraising: different approaches to raising funds for building projects

2. 'Explorers of Church Building Projects':  launch programme

The Explorers programme provides the opportunity for parishes to see first-hand the work taking place across the Diocese, learn from the experience of churches managing such projects, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Explorers: the launch programme

Running from September 2017 to June 2018, the programme covers a range of topics, scales of project and geographical areas. If feedback from parishes is positive, we’ll look to develop the programme until March 2020. Booking is essential; there are a limited number of places available for each event:
