Event - Lay Conference 2017
Are you ready for Mission Possible? Your chance to make a difference!
Friday, 19 May to Sunday, 21 May 2017
An opportunity to explore ways to enable lay people to be more effective in their own Christian Mission turning the seemingly ‘Impossible’ into ‘Possible’ through everyday activities, whilst enjoying the peaceful surroundings afforded by the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
The programme will include:
- Information about the Renewal and Reform programme
- the Diocesan Strategy for mission
- Effective new forms of mission and outreach
- Any Questions? with senior diocesan staff
- entertainment and time for relaxation
We would like as many parishes as possible to part of the conference, with delegates attending from all parts of the diocese.
We asked a group of young people how they would get involved with Mission Possible.
How YOU can get involved:
Space at the Hayes Conference Centre is restricted but a room has been reserved for every parish. In addition, one free place, including full board for the event, has been allocated to each parish. Obviously, many of the rooms at the centre are doubles or twins and can accommodate more than one person. Spouses are welcome to use the double rooms and friends may use the extra beds in the twin rooms if they are prepared to share. Attendees over and above the one free place are asked to make a voluntary donation of £50 towards costs
What to do next:
This is a time-limited offer: register to accept your parish's reservation before 31 January 2017 or your room will be made available to other parishes as extra space.
